Books are not the sole source of our knowledge but experience too, and sometimes knowledge gained from these two could be contrast. This essay values the roles of both books and experience, in other words, none of these should be considered more important than the others. I will discuss the necessity of books in the first paragraph and the necessity of experience in the follow-up.

Books are undoubtedly the main source of our knowledge. Throughout history, humankind has been collected and saved a gazillion of knowledge inside those papers. They are our entrances to new worlds, new things, and new people. From we first started going to school, we have been taught by books. After school hours, we spend time researching and practicing by reading books. They play such a significant role in our education system, as well as being irreplaceable.

Not everything we learned comes from books, and not everything we learned from them is correct. That is when we need experience, to play the part as a measurement, a judge. With experience, we can either confirm theories in the book or reject them. They are great tools, for both supporting and pointing out mistakes. We use them to validate things in books, to use those things more precisely and effectively. Through experience, we can adjust knowledge and even develop that knowledge further. For instance, a scientist always has to do many experiments to confirm his study, and to study deeper, more correctly. Using experience is the most effective way to clear out vivid and false information and assure the right ones.

In conclusion, both books and experience are important in our lives, they reflect different sides of knowledge so there are times they are the same, and times they are completely different. We should utilize them, use them together to make the best of them. Use books as the starting points and use the experience to affirm knowledge from books. We should not separate them but use them collectively instead since not everything learned is contained in books and knowledge gained from experience sometimes contrasts with knowledge gained from books.
