The table indicates the amount of money Renault, Rover, Vauxhall and Cetirizine spent on press, cinema, outdoor, radio and television advertising in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland in 2002.

These four British companies seemed to be most interested in television adverts, then their second choice was press rather than radio or outdoor. Some companies even spent no money on cinema advertising.

The data represent that in 2002 all the four companies expended most on television advertising: Cetirizine came first at 70 millions of dollars; Vauxhall, Renault and Rover were at 65, 59 and 45 respectively. Most of the companies also paid attention to press adverts on which Renault and Rover’s expenditure were 45 and 38 millions of dollars each. Vauxhall and Cetirizine were more fond of radio adverts which accounted for 15 millions of dollars of these two companies and the two others.

In 2002, outdoor and cinema advertising seemed to be not very attractive to businesses. The quantity of money the four companies spent on these two types of advertisement was low at about 7 millions of dollars or below. Rover and Cetirizine even did not advertise at the cinema.
