Friendship is one of the greatest blessings that not everyone is lucky enough to have. We meet a lot of people in the journey of life but there are only a few who leave a mark on us. My best friend is one such person who has been able to make a positive impact on my life. We have been a part of each other’s lives for the longest time and our friendship is still developing. Most importantly, I feel extremely fortunate to have someone as a best friend in my life.

My best friend is also my cousin, we have been growing up together since I was born. Despite the fact that he is older than me, we still look the same age. He is a generous person and also a hard working person. Whenever he sees someone who is in trouble, he always be there to help them. Moreover, he always finishes his work before everyone’s. I remembered when we was learning at an English centre together, he was one of the top students in that centre. Although he likes soccer and I like basketball, we still managed to have a same sport to play with him and that is chess. We played it every summer when we were still kids but due to his learning and I had to go to some extra class for better marks, we hardly played chess together. I thought our friendship would come to an end but we finally get up after the incident and we are still best friend.

In short, the bond I share with my best friend is one of my most prized possessions. Both of us inspire each other to become better humans. We push each other to do our best and we are always there in need. A best friend is indeed a precious gem and I am fortunate to have found that gem of my life.
