Please help me with my motivation letter

I'm writing a motivation letter for college, i'll be glad if you helped me and write me if there's something wrong

Dear sir or madame,

It's a great pleausure to have an oportunity to apply to .... First of all, I would like to introduce myself a little bit more. I attend art gymnasium .... In my free time, I'm attending Mathematical courses held in our school.

I was also a part of Ecoteam. Myself and group of students, who were living eco-friendly, decided to help a little bit more and to find more volunteers willing to help and reduce the harm caused by our population. I, personally, improved my skills in teamwork and problem solving.

I have pursued a keen interest in art through independent study, therefore it was only natural for me to get involved with classical English literture and fine art. I believe, in books lies the wisdom and thoughts of the past generation. I especially enjoyed reading Pride and prejudice by Austen, To kill a mockinbird by Harper Lee, Catcher in the rye by Salinger and from more recent, for example Harry Potter series, although, in my school, i never liked the idea of required reading. For younger students, it turned books into duty or obligation. They were written for enjoyment, to improve the awareness of population and to give a past knowledge to new generation.

Media and classical English literature gave me the inspitaion to take the effort to gain the knowledge and to remain on my way. Reading books taught me a lot, as they contain the wisdom their authors achieved and were willing to share with the rest of the world, and so, writing, both poetry and prose, became my passion. Outside of books and math, I have a wide range of interests and hobbies. I'm especially keen on sports, such as squash and tennis, and music, such as playing the piano and the guitar. I also speak German on B1 level.

The reason why I choose ... is that I will be able to study in English, one of the most common languages in the world, so I'll bee able to adapt myself, when i'll be living abroad, as I'm highly interested in getting to know other cultural mentalities and differences between various countries. I'm one of the best at English subject in my current school, as I'm motivated by my desire to explore the world.

Given my past studies, I am confident that I will bring worth level of efficiency to your program, therefore I do see myself as a suitable candidate. I hope I'll exceed your expactations, because of my will to improve myself and my skills.
