Please help me with my IELTS writing task 2

Topic: Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Since universities are the places for higher education that straightly directs one’s future career. Some argue that the current tendency is to obtain equal access in terms of gender to every subject in universities. Personally, I completely agree with this view.

On the one hand, if an equal number of male and female students get admitted in every subject offered in a university, more areas of research and employment would be explored by women and that would benefit the country as they would contribute more. Take Marie Curie, for instance. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, in Physics, and with her later win, in Chemistry, she became the first person to claim Nobel honors twice. Her efforts with her husband Pierre led to the discovery of polonium and radium, and she championed the development of X-rays which then helps us a lot in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. We would have found many talents like her if there is identical access to education in every subject.

At the same time, chances of gender discrimination in the classrooms would greatly reduce. In the past, in many people’s belief: women are considered less talented than men so they often get discriminated against and sometimes did not have a chance to go to school. But with equal numbers of learners, this will create golden opportunities for women to show their giftedness. In addition, this can help both sexes to increase their communication skills when it comes to having closer relationships with the opposite sex. Definitely, students of these schools will most probably have fewer matrimonial problems in the future.

In conclusion, I believe that it would be beneficial for us to have an identical number of college students in every field.
