PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY IELTS ESSAY FOR WRITTING TASK2 :((

In companies, promotions to high positions should be given to employees inside the company and not to somebody outside the company or new hiring. What is your opinion?

Whether to offer an upper management position to an employee from within or a completely new staff has been a troublesome problem for a great many of companies. The positive and negative sides of both those trends would be examined and followed by my personal opinion as below.

First, hiring from within would both pay dividends and bring a few drawbacks to companies. On the one hand, this tendency shows current member staffs there is a good chance that they can move up the corporate ladder, thus encouraging them to keep devoting their energy in generating benefits for the companies, albeit through arduous tasks. Conversely, in an attempt to secure lucrative careers in higher positions, the staffs may have to deal with weightier responsibilities and a greater number of oppressive deadlines to prove their abilities, causing more stress-induced diseases for those workers. However, those clerks can be compensated with the benefit in kind and better remuneration offered by the managers.

Turning to the method of new hiring, I hold a firm conviction that its disadvantages outstrip its advantages. From social perspective, this trend admittedly gives chances to prodigious job-seekers, making the job market fair and attainable for everyone. Nonetheless, it is also a sign for the staffs inside that they cannot progress beyond a certain point in hierarchy, which accordingly makes these high flyers would not want to devote exclusively to the companies anymore. Besides, recruiting and training a new comer might be a laborious task with substantial amount of time, and such a waste of time is unquestionably unnecessary for commercial groups in their progress of meeting the success.

Given the above, I am of the opinion that as beneficial it is for some outsider applicants, hiring from the outside is not the optimum when it comes to the decision to fill a dominant position in a firm.
