Please help me with my essay!

Some businesses prohibit smoking in any of their offices. Some governments have banned smoking in all public places. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons

Several companies, organizations, and the government as well have made restrictions on smoking in workplaces and all public spaces. Although I concur that smoking should be banned in some places, I disagree that it should be prohibited completely.

Smoking should be banned in public because it is dangerous to health. Cigarettes contain more than 4000 chemical substances that are very harmful to health. This causes a lot of early deaths related to respiratory illnesses such as asthma, lung cancer, and heart attack. Smoking not only harms smokers’ health but also non-smokers when they breathe in secondhand smoke. In a recent survey, in the UK, over 120.000 people are dying due to smoking, while the number of people dying from road accidents is only 35.000. This demonstrates how dangerous smoking is for health.

However, smoking should not be prohibited completely because it will increase the possibility of smuggling this kind of product. In some countries such as Vietnam, the need for the consumption of cigarettes is high. If the government enforced the law against smoking in all places, it could trigger many black markets selling illegal cigarettes. This leads to cheaper prices and tobacco products of bad quality that are extremely dangerous to health and allow for many social vices.

To sum up, I agree that government should make restrictions on smoking in public, but I disagree that they should not ban it completely, instead they should have some marked places for only smokers and have regulations to limit smoking in lieu of banning it completely.
