Some people think that it is a waste of money for countries to host big sporting events like the world cup, and that the money would be better spent on other things. However, others think that hosting large sporting events has a clear, positive impact on a country.
Discuss both these views and give your opinion.

Wordwide sporting events are often costly, therefore, they require host country to meet the demand of FIFA in terms of finance. Opponents argue that government should spend their budget on another purposes. Whilst others believe that global events will bring back substantially development for the host nation. This essay will discuss both sides and present my opinion.

There are several reasons why holding the sporting events is objected. First of all, organizing tournaments requires great expense. It is recorded the impressing number of money that China spent 40 billion USD on holding Olympic 2008. Most of enormous money is used in constructing huge stadiums, luxury accommodations for athletes, security, traffic system. It is noticeable that those megastructures are emptied after few times used. Take Pyeongchang Winter Olympic 2018 as an example. It costed Korea’s budget 109 million USD, but infrastructers served for the Olympic is only used 4 times, then, they will be abolished. It is obviously that investment in worldwide sporting events is luxury and wasteful, and do not bring long-term benefit. On the other hand, it is believed that money should be funded to solve national issues. Firstly, healthcare services is worth supporting in finance as enormous money is essential to study cures for cancer or contagious diseases. As well as that, education and technological innovation also contribute to the growth of economy. Investment in machinery that replace human resource can increase labor efficiency and products, while educstion is a key to better next generations who devote theirselves for development of that country.

In contrast, advocates persist that host nation may generate income from sports. Most of turnover involves television broadcasting royalty or ticket sales. Even many big firms are willing to pay the pricey costs to be advertised their products at global sporting events such as World Cup, European Championship, Olympic. In addition, profit from tourism is obvious as international events attract billion of people around the world for duration of the tournaments. That coutry may become a tourist destination after visitors are experienced the unique culture, traditional cuisine, and other fascinating things while falling in with the mood of global games.

In conclusion, worldwide tournaments are spicy sporting festivals which convey message of heathy lifestyle and connect like-minded people over the world joing sportsmanship. Personally, I suppose that sporting events should be held as long as they are well controlled in financial sourcess.
