The maps above indicate the growth of a hospital which is called Queen Mary at three separate times: 1960, 1980 and 2000.
Overall, significant changes were in terms of the size of the hospital, in addition to a cancer center, a pharmacy and a nursing school were created and extended. As a consequence, the capacity of the car park was reduced by a half.
In 1960, the hospital was established at a place next to a shopping center and close to the main road. There was a large area turned into a car park behind the hospital, meanwhile the area behind the shopping center was farmland.
By 1980, the shopping center had been demolished in order to build two additional hospital constructions which became a pharmacy and a cancer center. Besides that, the hospital also gained the farmland and converted it into a nursing school.
In 2010, the hospital area remained unchanged but the cancer center was extended to occupy the entire nursing school. As a result, the original car park was separated to two so that it contained a smaller car park and a smaller nursing school.
