The first chart shows the reason why people prefer to cycle to work. Conversely, the other one gives reason residents who choose to go to their office by car.
There are five patterns of each chart. Overall, it seems that most of people who go to work by bike do this for health and environmental reasons. By contrast, those who drive to work want to have a comfortable feeling over long distances.
The majority of people who favor cycling think that riding a bicycle to work is healthier than driving, 30 of them give this as a reason. The same amount of people, 30% say that they cycle to work because it causes less pollution. On the other hand, 40% of people who travel by car suppose that it is more comfortable, and one fifth of them choose car due to long distances.
Residents use car for going to work because they think it’s faster than cycling and vice versa, with almost the similar portion in both charts. Besides that, saving money and avoiding parking problems are taken as reasons by bikers with 13% and 15% correspondingly. Otherwise, 14% and 11% of divers express their opinion that they can carry things and can be safer when they travel by car.
