Please help me with ielts task 2

It is important for children to learn the different between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? What sort of punishment should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good behavior to children.

Teaching children to tell right from wrong when they were you is extremely essential. There are some opinions that punishment is one of the most effective ways to use to teach children to learn this distinction. I totally approve of this view. If you want your children to learn something effectively, you will probably need the right method. Not all sort of punishment is good, so you need to make the right choices.

There is evidence that punishment make the children learn quickly. Another benefit is that they will remember longer what they have been taught by this method. As a result of the sense of fear, children are unlikely to repeat those actions which they have been punished for in the past. For instance, when i was a little girl, i ate the cake in the fridge, then my mother did not let me have any other cakes for a week. After 3 days, I regreted having eaten that cake. I thought if i had not eaten that cake, i would have had more snacks . From then on, that feeling reminds me and even stops me when i want to do that action again. In addition to some sound advice, it is sometime need punishment to teach a child effectively.

Although punishment has some advantages, it does have some drawbacks. It may hurt the children or make them feel scare, physically and mentally hurt. So you have to sort out the good ones. Choose some good punishment such as forcing the child to stand by the wall if they are so noisy. Another good recommend for less patient child is make them draw pictures. The appropriate punishment will help your child improve not only physical but also social skill.

In conclusion, punishment is an effective way to teach children but before that remember to choose the appropriate one to make your children become better.
