You live in an English speaking country and you want to do some voluntary, unpaid work in a developing country. Write a letter to a company called Cultural Expeditions, which organizes such trips. In your letter:

• Explain why you want to do the voluntary work.
• State what your skills and experience are.
• Indicate where you would like to volunteer and for how long.

Dear Sir or madam,

I have recently read about your organization in the local newspaper. In my opinion, you are doing a great job and you are giving a great opportunity to people who have a desire to help people living in abject poverty.

I have just graduated from the Pedagogical University and got a degree in English philology.

My late aunt left me fifteen thousand dollars in her will and that' why as at the time being I do not have to work and in memory of my aunt I decided to share my knowledge and to teach English to people who can't afford it on voluntary basis.

Moreover I also speak French fluently and while doing my degree I had a practice in school where I taught both English and French.

It was mentioned in the article of your newspaper that the work of Cultural Expeditions covers countries in Africa. If it is possible I would like to work in Nigeria for one year from September, 15.
