Please help me to translate this sentence.

Dear ppl

I am translating my undergraduate transcript. In our education system, the undergraduation study (5 years) is divided into two stage (stage 1: fundamentals , stage 2: go into major). To go to the second stage, students have to take a qualifying examination. But top 30% students don't have to take the exam and will move straightly to the second stage.

my first stage GPA is high enough so I did not need to take the qualifying examination. I should write this in my transcript briefly but meaningfully. But I don't know how to the write it. Can you all please give me advice?

What about the following?

"Move straightly to the second stage and be exempted from the qualifying examination"

I am looking forward to hearing from you all soon.

Yours sincerely

Shouldn't this be in the past tense?

Moved straight into the second stag

If you already in your second stage, then you should use past tense. "...Moved straightly to the second stage and was exempted from the qualifying examination"

but if you are going to in the future you sould use present tense.

One more thing, you should say moved straight not straightly. Good Luck!!
