Please help me to revise my grammar

On August 11 ,2014. I was late for 3 minutes due to a massive traffic. There were several road accidents occurred in different core/critical roads such as C9 and South bound sections. And one reason for the unfavorable event was the bus that I rode were hit its side mirror by another bus that ended through a verbal quarrel and took my 40% allotted time for travelling.
