Nowadays animal experiments are widely used to develop new medicines and to test the safety of other products. Some people argue that these experiments should be banned because it is morally wrong to cause animals to suffer, while others are in favour of them because of their benefits to humanity.

Animal exploitation, is believed acceptable for the benefit of mankind, which is increased day-by-day for medical and scientific purposes. There is a hot debate between people about whether to support for this evil tendency. In this essay, some arguments will be discussed before coming to the final conclusion.
Admitedly, there are several reasons to concern animal testing is essential to ensure human survival. Firstly, the uncountable impotant discoveries involved experimentation on animals that create new cures or deterence for serious diseases such as cancer or HIVS . This is totally beneficial as humans are the highest of the spieces in the hierarchy, therefore people’s lives are deserved to take priority over animal suffering. Further more, animal testing is necessary to measure the effectiveness of new drugs before using it on human’s body. For example, laboratory mice may be given an illness so that researcher can observe any side effect occurs.
However, animals are also concerned as living-creatures as human are, therefore people have no rights to subject animals to this kind of trauma. The most controversial tendency is that animal testing is used for non-medical purposes such as cosmetics or fashion. This kind of making profit business is an unnecessary and unacceptable action which should be minimized to diminish the suffering that animals experience. Beside that, there is an evidence from secret filming in laboratory shows that animals have the same painful feeling as human do. So the benefits to human can not justify the suffering caused and alternative methods should be used for research.
Taking everything into consideration, I concern animal testing is vital medical research for human’s lives. However, I do argue that the lives of all creatures should be respected and protected. Any of non-medical purpose should be banned in every country to minimize the suffering that animals experience.
