Question

Some people think that developing countries need financial help from international organizations. Others think that it is practical aid and advice that is needed. Discuss these views and give your own opinion

People have different views as to effective measures to help developing countries. I personally believe that financial help and practical aid should be considered equally important.

There are various reasons why financial help will bring benefits to a third world countries. First, in order to help these countries have high economic growth rate, upgrading the obsolete transport network and relevant infrastructure are required to ensure an increase in the amount of goods conveyed. Second, if more public services, such as schools and hospitals, are constructed and will be free, people who are living under the poverty line in these countries would have a chance to experience a better education and healthcare, which is conducive to a higher standard of living. Since these actions need millions of dollars, a number of states in developing countries do not have sufficient budget. Therefore, financial help from international organizations is one of the most effective ways to help less-developed countries progress.

On the other hand, practical help and advice from developed countries are useful in some cases. In many developing countries, while they are having a number of resources, such as metals and coal, they do not know the effective ways to exploit and use them. If international organizations help these countries educate experts and offer useful advice, these countries might exploit and use these resources more resonable, which might help them progress quickly. In addtion, due to the population of corruption in many less-developed countries , financial help might not be used to bring benefits to societies. Therefore, offering non-financial assistance directly to the citizens in these countries is sometimes considered an effective and efficient way to improve the quality of their lives.

In conclusion, financial help, practical aid and advice should be used resonable according to conditions of each country to help them progress.
