Some people think that it is more beneficial to take part in sports which are played in teams, like football, while people think that taking part in individual sports, like tennis or swimming, is better. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Some people argue that team sports provide player with a wide range of benefits while others think that individual sports are much better. From my perspectives, I think both types of sports have their own benefits and it depends on what purpose people choose to play.
On the one hand, team sports give players opportunities to develop interpersonal skills such as teamwork and communication skills. These benefits not only help people in their day-to-day social interactions but also accelerate their career. Furthermore, team sports offer players the chance to strengthen sense of unity, friendship and sportsmanship between people in a team. In this sense, it really add value to people’s live by making them feel a part of something.
On the other hand, individual sports have their own positive effects as well. Firstly, sports played by individuals like tennis or swimming have a profound impact on their personal skills. This means, through these kinds of sport, players are able to manage their emotions, cope with strains and build confidence and self-esteem. Secondly, people who play these sports tend to develop a strong mindset when they do their utmost and brainstorm in order to overcome any setbacks they may face. Finally, one-player sports provide better opportunity for people to challenge themselves by setting goal and achieve the payoff by their own efforts.
In conclusion, I believe that all sports bring great benefits for people’s mental and physical health, and people should choose whatever sport they have passion for.
In many countries, a small number of people earn extremely high salaries. Some people believe that this is good for the country, but others think that government should not allow salaries above a certain level.
Discuss both these view and give your own opinion.
Some people argue that authority should set a limit on salary level. While I accept that it may reasonable in some ways , I personally disagree with that idea.
There are several reasons why people hope to have a maximum wage. Firstly, this solution will narrow the gap between rich and poor by balancing the salary rate. Secondly, that difference between normal and top wage is huge would lead to demotivating workers who feel the situation is unfair. Therefore, by lowering executive payment would pave the way for introducing a feasible minimum wage which are able to bring everyone a high standard of living. One possible consequence of greater equality could be that poverty and crime are improved because general population now have opportunity to experience a life with high quality.
Despite the above argument, I believe that capping remuneration at a certain level is not a plausible idea. It is undeniable that people should be paid as much as companies are willing to offer and certainly the salary will be commensurate with their skills and ability. In addition, employers usually offer excellent pay packages which act as a significant role in their strategy to attract the most competent and talented applicants in their fields to work for them. For instance, technology company such as Google easily employs the best programmers because of the huge sums they support. Furthermore, a well-paid job is likely to motivate the employee to work hard and dedicate to the benefits of company. As a result, this will drive the businesses successfully and lead to a thriving economy in the future.
In conclusion, it seems to me that introducing a cutoff point on the wage of the highest earner in society is not rational solution.
