Please! Help me to repair this Writing Task 2!

Modern forms of communication such as email and messaging have reduced the amount of time people spend seeing their friends. This has had a negative effect on their social lives. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Developing modern sorts of communication, especially electronic messaging and email, has changed completely the way people contact with friends. Nevertheless, I agree that this has acted dreadful on their social lives.

In the past, people had difficulty in meeting each other because the distance was too far, so the form of communication by letter was the most common way. Most people spent a lot of time writing letter to show their love and care for that person. Simultaneously, people also had to wait for a long time to receive letter, therefore everyone could feel happy or even nervous when letter was sent to. This way might waste time but testified clearly people's emotion for each other.

Today, on the contrary, the birth of email and messaging makes us more passive and lazier. We do not need go out but still contact with friends. Gradually, it seems to us that face-to-face meetings are not necessary, so people tend to be hesitant to meet some one or join in activities outdoors. In addition, using social network such as: Facebook; Twitter;... too much makes everyone become cold with each other. For instance, when no email, I often hung out with my friends. However, when we reached adolescence along with the explosion of messaging, we just interacted through internet. Besides, this fact also decreases user's communication skill and language development in children. Seriously, one of the reasons that causes swindle cases is chatting through electronic messaging. Therefore, it is not advisable that people should depend on email.

In conclusion, it is undeniable that email and messaging bring huge advantages for human. However, I strong believe that we had better not abuse them in our social lives.
