Please help me to correct this letter

I, (name), no. ____ am a prospective student whose first choice is Psychology. I received a confirmation from the University that I was accepted to the admission of my second choice instead.




I have visited your Department on 7th June wanted to pass you a letter to explain the special circumstances I have experienced which affected my performance in exams.


However I was been told by a lady that you were away so I left the letter to you. I have attached the letter on this email. Please have a look and reconsider me to accept my admission.

this is a letter i am going to send to the university, as english is my third language there are probably a lot of grammar mistakes and mis-use of wordings in the letter. Please help me to correct it to a formal and polite way. Thank you in advance for all your helps!
