In this day and age, it is thought that reading newspapers is the most effective way to keep people updated, although others argue that other media publishing has greater benefits to widen their information and general knowledge. While newspapers are important since they have remained a reliable source of information for years, I am supportive of the argument that media publications are more applicable in this modern life because of their benefits brought to online users and TV watchers to receive information.
It cannot be denied that the information on newspapers is professional and the habit of reading daily newspapers of many people seems irreplaceable. First, newspapers lessen untrustworthy information because of having strictly censorial content before being published. In addition, general knowledge, as well as the daily and latest information, are normally found in newspapers that allow readers to learn from official sources of information. Besides, many people have habits of reading daily newspapers every morning and their days seem incomplete without taking hold of early newspapers for ages.
On the other hand, I understand why some people believe that the news media would be more advantageous since their updatability and multiple perspectives for the readers. First, rather than waiting for information to get updated daily, internet users are able to get aware of what is happening around the world in a matter of a minute. This is because they deliver news more quickly across a variety of platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and other forms of social media websites. In addition, online media news encourages readers to present their comments personally and understand others’ perspectives instead of one-way information. By doing this, e-readers are able to receive multiple perspectives on any controversial topic.
In conclusion, newspapers play a vital role in the public due to their trustworthy information and general knowledge of society. However, other media is also another source to look for news more effectively since it is free and allows readers to be able to access a wide range of sources to receive information.
