Please help me to correct these sentences?

Before we could managed to modify the data in the system, but now we can't modify anything in the system. The system deny the modification and shows that we do not have permission to do that. Did you remove the permission on our accounts for modifying / editing the data in the system?

Thank you for helping me to correct my sentences. Is the below sentence correct?
Previously we could edit the data in the system by using edit mode/function, but now we can view the records only because the edit mode was disappeared in our screen mode.
