The bar graph illustrates the number of males and females from various age brackets taking exercise in Australia in 2010. Overall, it appears that the figures for the weaker sex are higher than those for the stronger one.
It it noticeable that between the age of 25 and 64, the percentage of woman is much higher than that of men. The most outstanding gap is 13%, which is recorded for the 35-44 aged Australian citizens while the disparity between the two genders of the 25-34, 45-54, 55-64 groups is smaller, being 6.7%, 10.2%, 7.9% respectively.
In contrast, men between 15 and 24 tend to do more physical activity than women of the same age, with the figures being 52.8% and 47.7% accordingly. However, for those above 65, almost equal numbers are documented for the two genders with a marginal discrepancy being 0.4% although women still accounts for the larger percentage.
