As well as making money, business also have social responsibilities. Do you agree or disagree?
Some people argue that besides earning money, enterprises also have public liabilities that ensure the balance in environment or contribute future human resources for country. I think profit is the top goal of each company but I agree that social responsibilities is very important too.
Although every company always wants to make more and more money as it can, It's wrong if you think this money all belong to it's asset. Annual, enterprises have to pay significant amounts of their profits for taxes, which was spent on building hospitals, schools, public parks, etc. by government. The result is the whole citizens have rights to use free many public healthy care and education services. In addition, the bigger the companies are, the more jobs are provided. In 2007, hundreds thousands company became failed that made the unemployment rate rise sharply. So it is very important for enterprises to have profits, that means they can continue operating or even expanding and make more job opportunities.
On the other hand, there are strong reasons why business are responsible for social issues. Firstly, businesses produce the largest proportion of the emissions and wastes in all fields of human activities. Especially, industrial trash is the worst cause that make dangerous pollutions. In 2016, Formosa company's wastes killed almost species in thousands square kilometers of sea. Therefore, enterprises have to pay attention to protect environment by using a mount of their profits. Secondly, the future human recourses are very important for the growth of not only nation economy but also each company. So caring for the education of students is necessary. Many huge corporations such as Unilever and P&G give hundreds of scholarships for students annually. In fact, they also gain the reputation so this is a win-win deal.
In conclusion, although I realize that earning money is the fundamental principle of business, I argue that public responsibilities are also their important concern, in oder to consistently developing.
