Topic: Some people say that it is possible for a country to be both economically successful and have a clean environment. Other disagree. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

People have different views about the possibility to balancing the economic success and environmental reservation. While some people argue that it's impossible to tackle two issues at the same time. I personally believe that resolving environment problems can go together with developing economy.

In some countries, one of the features of a well-developed economy is the increasing numbers of industrial parks. With a huge amount of carbon emissions and chemical wastes from those areas, it not only causes the environmental pollution within own country but also expand to the nearby countries. For instance, the dust pollution in Beijing each year much more impacts to inhabitants in Korea. In addition, people living in a prosperous countries have higher consumption demanding in both quantity and quality than those who live in developing countries. The growing consumption of plastic items such as bags, mugs, straws makes the surroundings worse.

On the other hand, there are developed countries use their prosperity funding for many kinds of research to minimize the effects of industrial activities to the habitat. Many actions is strongly promoted such as using renewable energy resources rather than fossil fuel. By keeping the clean and fresh environment, a number of countries also attract worldwide tourists and boost the tourism develop. This method is more sustainable than those countries focusing on industrial factories and neglecting the environment's influence.

In conclusion, there are certain reasons why many people do not consider that developing economy and protecting the environment can get along well, but in my opinion there are many well-developed countries are the combination of wealthy economy and clean environment.
