We can not help everyone in the world that needs help, so we should only be concerned with our own communities and countries. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is sometimes argued that whether we should be concerned with the problems of other countries. In my opinion, I completely disagree with the idea that we had better limit our help to other communities and states.
On the one hand, there are a variety of reasons why it is necessary to focus on addressing problems of our own communities. Firstly, many developing countries are facing serious problems and the governments have to concentrate on finding solutions to tackle their own matters before thinking about other countries. To take Syria as an example, this country has been suffering from wars for years and a large percentage of their population has been living under the poverty line, therefore they has to concern about how to obtain a peaceful life and basic needs first. Secondly, when we prioritise concentration resourses on developing our country, we would be able to achieve sustainable bases ranging from financial resourses to education. That means we will able to have more abilities to support other people who are in need.
On the other hand, I would argue that it is wrong to limit our help to other people because of national boundaries. The main reason is that we are living in a world that has the interaction between communities. A common example of this is infectious diseases. The ability of bacteria that resist against antibiotics is increasing dramatically and this does not only the serious problem in Africa, where the percentage of bacterial resistance is the highest, but it also affects developed countries due to the potential of infectious disease contamination. If we do not support to reduce the mortality rate of infection, the whole world will be facing the era when antibiotics is no longer effective to save us our lives from even minor injures.
In conclusion, while it is necessary to priotise to develop our own countries, I believe that we should try to help as many people as possible.
