Topic: research shows that business meetings, discussions and training are happening online nowadays. Do the advantages outweigh the disdvantages?

My writing:

It is true that these days, people tend to host a business conference, discussion, and training courses online. I accept that this phenomenon has some drawbacks, but I do believe it is likely to have more benefits.

On the one hand, online meetings are totally beneficial for many organizations for some reasons. Firstly, meetings are hosted online can help people save a huge amount of time that can be spent on other more important tasks. If people work from home, employees do not also need to commute to their workplace but also avoid time-consuming traffic congestion. As a result, the productivity of the company would be increased a lot. Secondly, online meetings or discussions using web conferencing tools have made it a lot easier for people to keep in contact with their co-workers and clients coming from different locations both nationally and internationally.

On the other hand, this development exists some unavoidable pitfalls. In order to work through the internet, employees have to be familiar with advanced software that is used to host online meetings, and this is certainly a huge obstacle for the elderly staff particularly. Besides, this type of meeting are heavily dependent on the internet connection, therefore, the slow internet connection could negatively interrupt the meetings. The last but not least, while attending these online meetings, participants are not able to pay their whole attention to their work since they might get distracted by many other arresting things on the internet.

In conclusion, I think that these advantages could not be outweighed by these disadvantages.
