Today, I would like to introduce about my hometown, Haiphong. This is an important Port City in Vietnam. Besides, the city has a lot of flame trees and therefore called "Flamboyant City". Opera House is one of the most important landmarks here. It was built by French on Opera Square to accommodate Haiphong's European population in the 1900s. Now, the Opera House is officially recognized as a national monument. Sometimes, Haiphong organizes big events or festivals in this location. There are many parks, restaurants, shops... around here. The Haiphong Station is also near by the Opera Square and the streets are wide. It is very convenient to transfer.

Talking about the tourist destination in Haiphong, we can not help mentioning Cat Ba Island to you. This island has lots of sights as Lan Ha Bay, Cat Ba National Park, Cat Co Cove... with a diverse ecosystem, specially the white-headed langur (often known as "Cat Ba Langur"). It is a critically endangered animal to protecting. People rarely see them.

Haiphong has many delicious specialities, but "Banh da cua" (meant "Crab Noodle") is the most famous. Because this noodle differs from other areas in Vietnam. If you have chances to travel Haiphong, please do not pass this dish. Because my hometown is peaceful, I am very happy when I was born and live here.
