Musical education

Over the last few years, the compulsory musical training in formal educational institutions gradually becomes a subject of considerable controversy. While some people put forward the view that musical lessons should no included in school timetables, I totally disagree with this opinion.

The most important is more time needs to be devoted to learning music because it helps the brain to funtion better and increases coordination. Let take playing musical instruments like the piano and the violin as examples. This requires a certain degree of concerntration and muscle coordination, thereby bringing into play a plethora of mental and physical skills which are being eroded in our push – button world. As a result, early exposure to music is able to facilitate the future career of people who play the piano, the violin and other instrumentalists in related fields such as arts or medicine which involve much use of hands with great precision.
