Topic: Many manufactured food and drink products contain high levels of sugar, which causes many health problems. Sugary products should be made more expensive to encourage people to consume less sugar. Do you agree or disagree?

The industry of producing sugary food and drink has negatively changed today’s world as more and more people are suffering from the health problems that sweets cause. Therefore, the prices of these products should increase to accelerate the world’s healthy lifestyle shifting. In my opinion, higher costs will promote the public to have the daily eating habit of less sugar; thus, avoiding several dangerous ailments.

Too much sugar can cause terrible consequences such as obesity or cardiovascular diseases. Although sugar is a vital energy source of humans, absorbing an excessively high level can be the main factor, causing sugar abundance in blood vessels or organs. If this state is prolonged, overweight or heart diseases will be a concern as they can undermine human mobility, intelligence or can lead to incidental fatality. As the repercussion is severe, there is a requirement to find a remedy when the world will be soonly thrown in at the deep end.

However, making prices more expensive can save this situation because it suggests people choosing sugar-free products. When the prices become not properly affordable, people will reconsider buying sweets, which might be superfluous sometimes, and head to other wholesome products. For example, instead of grabbing some junk food, such as snacks or chocolate, people may think about tossing some salad as it is more economical and good for health.

In conclusion, I agree that the soaring of sugary food and drink’s cost can promote people to eat less sugar; hence, raising the public health. Furthermore, individuals should rethink how tremendous this poor diet can impact their health in order to make sound choices for foodstuffs.
