Please help me to check and grade my writing.

Task: People are having more and more sugar-based drinks. What are the reasons? What are the solutions to make people drink less?
A rise in the consumption of sugary beverages has been recorded recently. There are several causes of this trends and some feasible solutions can be implemented halt the excessive sugar-based drinks intake.
The principal reason behind the increasing consumption of sugar-containning drinks is their ability to provide an instant energy boost. Nowadays, most jobs have become more demanding and employees have to make more heroic effort to achieve a success. In order to maintain their concentration and energy, sugary drinks seem to be a wise choice for busy workers. Besides, beverages that contain a considerable amount of sugar are often relatively lower in price compared to other kinds of drinks. Thus, they are considered to be economical, especially for those with strict budget. Finally, sugar-sweetened drinks are convenient that they can be served with various dishes including fast-food, hotpot and cakes.
A number of measures can be taken to reduce the consumption of sugar-based drinks. Firstly, a rise in taxes on the manufacture and distribution of sugary beverages could contribute to make the cost of those drinks higher. Therefore, purchasers might think more carefully before buying them. Secondly, operating a health campaign to raise citizens' awareness about healthy and balanced diets is also essential. If people are well-informed of the serious health hazards associate with high sugar intake, they would be discouraged to consume foods that ruin their well-being.
To conclude, it is their qualities that make sugary beverages a common drink. However, taxation and educational campaigns are two potentially effective remedies to prevent the consumption of those drinks from climbing.
