The first chart compare the percentage of energy which is consumed in an everage Australian home while the proportion of air emissions which is caused by the consumption os energy is reveal in the second pie chart. Overall, although heating is the most common reason which is consumed energy, gas emissions from water heating is highest.
Look at the first chart, the percentage of energy consumed is highest in heating with 42 per cent. Water heating come the second reason which occupies 30 % of the energy. Meanwhile, 28% of total energy is used by refrigeration, cooling, lighting and other appliances.
In the second pie chart, the largest proportion air emissions belongs to water heating with 32 %, follow by other appliances, accounting for 28 %. In constrast with the first chart, heating contribute only 15 % in the percentage of gas emissions. The figure for refrigeration, lighting and cooling are occupy 14 %, 8 % and 3 % respectively.
