Please help me to assess my writing task 2

Many museums and historical sites are mainly visited by tourists but not local people.

Why is this case and what can be done to attract more local people to visit these places?

It is true that most of the visitors at museums and ancient places are travellers instead of the dwellers. There are a number of reasons behind this phenomenon and several solutions should be adopted by external bodies to persuade locals.

There are two primary reasons why galleries and historic sites are popularly visited by tourists than the inhabitants. One reason is that museums are too familiar to nearby inhabitants. Due to their education and learning at school, they have already gained knowledge about exhibitions or working in local museums, which could be boring at later visiting. Furthermore, it is quite difficult for dwellers to afford the entrance tickets that might be expensive at some historical sites. For example, some famous ancient locations in Vietnam, such as Cu Chi or Dien Bien, are mostly recommended to visiting by foreigners due to its expenditures.

Fortunately, several measures could be taken to improve this problem. The first solution would be investing more in museums by the authorities to refresh the exhibits. By expanding and upgrading the collections and exhibitions, museums could captivate more and more people, including the inhabitants. A second measure would be adopting free entrances policies to all local people. This could gain the attention of the inhabitants as well as provide more information and knowledge, especially for the later generation of the city.

In conclusion, it is clear that there are various reasons for the local people to pay less attention to museums and historical sites, and steps need to be taken to tackle this tendency effectively.
