People living in large cities have to face many problems in everyday life. What are those problems?
Should the government encourage people to move to regional towns?

Nowadays, more and more people have been living in metropolises as a result of global industrialization. However, urban citizens also face many difficulties such as the cost or quality of life. In my opinion, the government should encourage people to live in regional towns rather than in large cities.
To start off, the two main problems that urban residents usually have are the high costs and the low quality of their lives. First, the population pressure in large cities has led to the growth of price in goods as well as houses. Take Hong Kong as an example. People in the low or middle classes are now impossible to buy a house or an apartment there since the prices cost a fortune. Moreover, the price of goods and living expenses attribute the growth to the higher demands. Second, more population in big cities means that fewer spaces could be provided for leisure activities and also fewer natural scenes. In big cities like New York, London, the most things we often see are tall buildings. It is difficult for someone who is eager to immerse themself in the natural environments as space deficient. In addition, citizens who live in large cities also suffer from air pollution, noise pollution, and recently, light pollution.
One promising solution to solve the problems is that encouraging people to move to live in towns or subordinate areas. The government should allocate these areas for living homes rather than central cities and develop public transportation infrastructure. Since more people live in subareas, the pressure of population would be lessened and the quality of life might be lifted in big cities.
To sum up, it would be not ideal for people to move to live in large cities since they will face many problems in their daily life. Therefore, the government should encourage citizens to live in subordinate areas instead.
