Some people say that the best way to improve public health is by increasing the number of sports facilities. Others, however, say that this would have little effect on public health and that other measures are required.

Certain people suggest that increasing the number of sports facilities will help improve public health while others think other measures are needed. I agree that it can have some benefits but only sports facilities can not solve this problem.
On the one hand, it is easy to realise the importance of sports to our health. Practicing sports frequently allows us to maintain body stamina and prevent many metabolic diseases (obesity, diabetes). Therefore, constructing more sports facilities as well as installing sports equipments at common places such as parks, community houses are an incentive to facilitate more people to join physical activities.
However, it is impossible to ameliorate public health with sports equipments alone. Physical education should be widely introduced to the community to encourage people to doing exercice more frequently. Besides, diet change also plays an effective role to keep our body healthy. At higher level, the government should implement appropriate policies to curb enviromental pollution which severely affects inhabitants' health.
In conclusion, supplying sports facilities can facilitate people to join physical activities but diet, hygien, and environment are also influencial factors that need to be resolved to improve public health.
