Please help me review this IELTS task 2

Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Has this become a positive or negative development?

Interpersonal contact has dramatically changed to date thanks to the development of technology. In my opinion, it has both good and bad impacts on our society.

Since the past decades, technological advancement, especially the internet, has improved our quality of life. We often use emails, electronic documents, or meeting platforms to deal with a plenty of tasks at the workplace. Videocalls, messages from internet-based applications have replaced handwriting letters to be the mean of communication among family members in distance. Technology has also modified the way we date and match with our beloved partners. Instead of getting acquainted with each other by change, young people can now look for their lovers via abundant dating websites.

Certainly, it is easy to recognise that our daily life has become more convenient owing to technology inventions. It helps companies reduce the number of boring meetings, accelerate the exchange of information and increase the productivity. The IT achievements such as chat app or interactive robots have closed the gap between elderly people and their away kids. However, technology also possesses the drawbacks. For instance, people now tend to pay much time on their electronic devices which could cause some physical or mental health problems. Many people rely on internet services to maintain their social contact rather than a face-to-face reunion. Fake news released on social networks give dementrial effects in the community.

In conclusion, technology has shaped our modern lifestyle individually and socially. People should take advantage of its usefulness and avoid the drawbacks to have a happy life.
