Please help me review the essay - writing task 2 IELTS

Topic: Air transport is increasingly used to export fruit and vegetables to countries where they cannot grown or are out of reason. What are the advantages and disadvantages?

My essay

Airplanes have been increasingly used to export produce to nations where farmers are unable to plant or these products are out of reason. This essay argues that while a wide variety of fruit and vegetables is the main advantage, putting a strain on the environment is an important disadvantage.

One evident benefit of importing produce from other countries is having various products throughout the year. This is because countries in particular regions have different climates and they are able to produce specific fruits and vegetables that can adapt easily to their own local habitats. For example, Vietnam belongs to a group of countries in a tropical region, they, therefore, are able to produce fruits easily developing under high temperature and moisture and export them to other countries in Europe.

Despite this economic benefit, the main drawback of using air transport is putting a strain on the environment. Airplanes produce a huge amount of carbon dioxide to carry produce yearly that causes pollution which has many detrimental effects. For instance, a recent report by Business Insider found that every year, air pollution in 2019 was at an alarming rate which was attributed to the overconsumption of fume produced by airplanes. This led to global warming and environmental issue that scientists could face in the coming years to strike the balance between the usage of airplanes in transportation and protecting our living habitats.

In conclusion, while importing produce abroad by airplanes can be advantageous because it allows countries to easily trade their different products, it is vital to take environmental issues into account carefully to reduce the harmful effects on the environment.
