As well as making money, businesses also have social responsibilities. Do you agree or disagree?
The idea that businesses have to make money and they also have public social responsibilities. I think people have different opinions in this issues but in my opinion, beside making money, I also agreed that businesses have social responsibilities.
On the one hand, the business efforts to maximize profits that could bring some benefit sides to the social. First, the higher business profits that company achieve, they could be paid more tax to the government. Therefore, the government have more revenue to spend in key field, including education and heathly care, to develop the quality of social life. Second, due to having a lot of profits, companies have the change to increase their business. For example, companies can use their capital to expand their production, and make more job for the social.
On the second hand, there are many reason why the business should admit that they have a social responsibility. The first reason is that the activity of them can effect on the environmental. Without control, the production process can seriously degrade on the environment. For instance, the reason of global warming is the air wasted of industrial or irresponsible disposal of the industrial wasted. Example, if the industrial have the wasted treatment instead of disposing to the environment, the pollution of environment can be controlled. And the next reason, the big companies should help difficult people because they have enough money to do it. For instance, the big companies such as Unilever, Coca-Cola have helped the difficult people to increase their reputation.
In conclusion, although I agree that making profit is a basic rule of business, I also think that business should serious consider about social responsibilities.
