Please help me review my IELTS essay

Students leave high school without learning the way how to manage their money. What are the reasons and solutions of this issue?

It is clear that a number of high school students in many countries have been lacking money managing skill. There are some reasons behind this issue, and numerous solutions can be applied by both families and schools to resolve it.

There are various reasons why teenagers lack the financial managing skill. First, in various countries, especially Asian ones, schools and teachers just focus on teaching academic subjects, such as math and chemistry, to help students achieve high scores for enrolling in universities. In addition, most of high school students still count on their parents on financial aspect as they do not have sufficient time to do part time jobs. Furthermore, their parents might not even manage money properly, so they do not teach their children about this skill. As a result, these students lack of knowledge as to how to use and manage money effectively, which is conducive to numerous difficulties when they have to live independently.

However, some measures could be introduced to help high school students have sufficient knowledge about financial managing skills. One of the effective solutions is that parents should give their children a certain amount of money monthly, and children have to do either household chores or a part time job if they spend all of this money. By doing this measure, these students will automatically find ways to spend the given money properly. Second, schools should introduce compulsory extra-curriculum activities about financial management. These solutions mentioned above might arm high school students with usefully practical knowledge about saving money and the significance of savings for their future, which might help them have a better life.

In conclusion, while a number of high school student still have insufficient knowledge as to managing money, families and school can equip these student with useful knowledge about this skill.
