Some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

It is true that there are more choices these days than ever. I completely agree with this view and I believe the introduction of the internet and globalization are two main contributors leading to this situation.

With the Internet development, we have enjoyed an endless array of option in terms of entertainment. In earlier times, people just had fewer choices to unwind such as go out to play folk games due to lack of facilities. However, today, the Internet provides us abundant choices ranging from films, musics to video games and each category offers different options for people to relax. Furthermore, we also have many choices related to online shopping. We no longer need to go direct to the malls in the city to purchase the things we like because there are many online shops and e-commerce markets on the internet.

Globalization is also the principal factors resulting in this tendency. Firstly, people have more options about their destinations for holiday. In the past, we could not travel long distances on holiday because it wastes money and time. Yet, we nows have many modern transportations such as airplanes or cars which can allow us to travel to any corners of the world. As a result, we have thousands of destinations to choose for both domestic travel or travel overseas. Another aspect related to this is study abroad. Many countries and universities facilitate to welcome foreign students having educations in their countries. Thus, students have more opportunities as well as more options to take a decision.

In conclusion, I believe that we have far more choices and that people should take advantage of this trend to make good decisions.
