Some think the current generation should take steps to protect the environment for the next generation. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Some environmentalists strongly believed that present-day people should take some considerable measures to ensure the Earth to be left in good condition for forthcoming generations. I am convinced with this sentiment as not only should the upcoming generations not be the victim of thoughtless actions caused by their ancestors, but people now also need a better place to live.
In the present scenario, the environmental issues have reached a specific level where they cannot be taken into granted anymore. People now are countering a variety of problems due to the development of large industrial powers, which is the main contributor to climate change and global warming. Every single day, many firms and factories have released a humongous amount of carbon dioxins, leaking oil and dirty liquid into seas, rivers. In addition, the proliferation of private vehicles is the leading driver of fossil fuel consumption, which results in air pollution. Fauna and flora are severely affected and in danger of extinction while there are more and more strange illnesses for human beings. Consequently, if no immediate actions can not be taken, sooner or later people today will be likely to suffer natural disasters and heartbreaking losses.
Moreover, the upcoming generation should not suffer the heritage destructions. It is unfair as they experience the irresponsible repercussion of their ancestors ’actions. A good example of that is instead of remedying their mistake, a segment of society who is currently is in pursuit of materialistic pleasure and social status destroys natural habitats, reduces cost by cutting waste treatment process, and leaves the Earth polluted. Therefore, the general public and authorities ought to hold their responsibility and be aware of the consequences to save the environment.
In conclusion, people today must commit to reversing its effects. Leaving this problem for the future generation will put them in a potentially unfair situation.
