I am planning to apply to xxxx's graduate program for the 2009-2010 school year. As part of the application I need a letter of reference and you were the first person that I thought of. I really value your perspective because I learned a lot from you and you brought out the best in me. I was wondering if you would be able to write me a letter of recommendation in the next two weeks as the application is due on July 15^th? Please let me know as soon as possible and I will send you further details!


I am actually an Audit Intern at a regional accounting firm called “xxx” in the xxx area for the summer, and my communication skills have already been put to good use (even as an accountant!). I have been going out to client sites and interacting with a diverse set of clients on a day-to-day basis. I thank you for helping equip me to deal with my professional duties in an appropriate manner.
