Sir, Madam,

With this letter I would like to motivate my application to the master in Latin -American studies at***.

The Latin-American continent, his societies, history, social- economical & political problems have always been of great interest to me and where meanly my motivation to start studying Political Science at the ***.

My interests grew stronger during the Political Science program as I completed one year of my studies in Spain, where there is still a great academical interest in Latin-American societies and politics. In my last year I wrote a thesis on the piqueteromovement in Argentina, wherefore I did fieldwork in Argentina.

Now that I have successfully completed my master Political Science I would like to extend my knowledge on the social, economical & political situation and problems of the Latin-American and Carabian countries. The knowledge and skills that I will obtain finishing the master will be in use off my professional career, in wich I would like to defend the intrest of the region & his societies in the international institutions or academical world.

I have particularly chosen to apply for the master-studies at the***because of its international academical reputation, the central role of the Mexican state in the Latin-American politics and the extensive range of interdisciplinary courses that perfectly suit my interest.

Furthermore it is worth nothing that I see realizing my studies abroad not only as an advance for me in person, but also in use of academical progress. I am confident that the interaction between academical worlds with different social & political backgrounds is of great importance to the improvement of the social sciences. Meanwhile I consider that the improvement of the social sciences can be a great and positive influence on the views and practices of the international organisations.

The mean purpose of my studies are my ambitions to become part of the improvement of the interdisciplinary research on social, cultural and political subjects- which I see as an important part of the changes in international politics.

With my academic background and relevant studying field, I am confident that I am qualified and able to perform well in this programme. I would be grateful if my application is considered and accepted.
