Please help me on these sentences

Hi,

'I had the food you cooked yesterday, it is/was delicious.'

'The actual date wrote by the doctor yesterday is/was on 20th and not 21st.'

Kindly provide some brief explanation for the answers

Is - at the moment, current, here and now, today. Plural 'are'.

Was - it has gone, been used up, it no longer exists. Plural 'were'.

The food was delicious. - I can't say 'is' because I have eaten it all.
This food is delicious. - I can say 'is' if I am still eating it.

The actual date written was ... - If you can read something, then it was already written.
