Please help me on Ielts Writing Task 1


The chart provides the information about the net migration, immigration and emigration of UK from 1999 to 2008.

It is clear that there are more people moving to UK than people who left that country over the period of 9 years. The net migrants saw a gradual fluctuant of between 1999 and 2008.

A detailed look at the chart reveals that the number of net population in UK had stabilized by 2003, then that reached to the peak at almost 250 thousands people. Interestingly, by 2008, UK had the same net migrants as nine previous year, at around 175 thousands people.

In 1999, over 450 thousands people went to UK and almost 300 thousands people left there. The immigration figures rose moderately and saw the biggest increase of between 2003 and 2004 to more or less 600 thousands people. Meanwhile, the highest number of emigrants in UK during 9 years was over 420 thousands people in 2008.
