00Fluid kinetic01font00 02font00engines are able to generate an enormous power, and furthermore, temperatures inside the engines can reach extremely high degrees. Therefore the components for these machines have to be manufactured precisely as they have to satisfy sophisticated01font00 02font00requirements. Since the beginning of my studies, I have been amazed by these engineering challenges. Therefore I have chosen the above mentioned areas of concentration which still prove to be highly fascinating and satisfying.02br

00In the following chapter I would like to state my motivation and my objectives for my application. Let me point out to you which aims I want to reach by spending an academic year at the Z University.02br

00Global business relations and co-operation are important aspects in aeronautical engineering as they are of great value to ensure success not only in engineering but also in the economy. Above all aerospace industries have to meet global demands. The common language for working and doing business is English. 02br

00I have deliberately chosen a university with an international profile and English as medium of teaching and working to learn this technical jargon. Additionally, I am convinced of the Z University´s excellent reputation among its students and graduates. Students from a variety of countries are currently enrolled at Z doing research and working together successfully on sophisticated scientific projects. Therefore the Z University offers me the outstanding chance to become thoroughly acquainted with different methods and new points of view, as well as to meet fellow students from different regions and with various cultural backgrounds to exchange knowledge and experience.02br

00Teamwork demands communication skills as well as patience but also the ability to structure the work load. I am looking forward to improve these skills in an international environment. I also hope that the international student body and close links between the University and industry partners will offer me the opportunity to get into contact with future colleagues and employers. As stated above, I would love to spend an academic year at Z as I am convinced that it would allow me to evolve both my knowledge and my personality.02br

00Spending a year abroad demands great personal commitment and industriousness. I was able to demonstrate both in various ways during my former/present01font00 02font00studies. Every student at the TU-X is responsible for their own timetable and for organising their studies. During the last nine semesters I have always worked conscientiously and organised my studies with the objective of becoming a Diplom-Ingenieur (graduate engineer) in aeronautical engineering rapidly and with the highest qualification01i00.02i02br

00I completed several study projects successfully. In a team I developed a design for a 200-seat middle range civil aircraft and I also designed a power train for wind turbines. Working on these projects and being a student assistant at the Institute of Bionics at the TU-X have enabled me to prove my working techniques in scientific projects, my analytical abilities, and my capability to work in teams. 02br

00The Double Degree Program at the Z University would offer me the unique opportunity to combine the knowledge I have obtained in my major studies with an internationally acknowledged degree as a Master of Science in Thermal Power. I am absolutely convinced that a year at the Z University would be an important and profitable experience for me, which would improve my professional chances on the global market substantially.02br

00I am aware that one year is a very short time to write a Master Thesis while studying at the same time. However, I am highly motivated and eager to face new challenges. 02br
