Sorry! I've decided to resend it because in my previous post - I don't know why - all the text appears in a complete disorder. I hope it doesn't happen again at this time.
Please, could you check if there are any mistakes in the following?
Mimic. A student mimics a situation or personality. People have to guess it.
Desk Dance. A song is played. People dance around the desks. Suddenly the music stops and who doesn’t sit down is out of the game.
Activity: Ask the students to be around a table. Give the same quantity of cards upside down to (or for ?) each one. The game starts: a volunteer or teacher reads a question and the first student puts his first card on the table. If the card has the answer, students hit it. Give one point for the first student that hits the card. If he hits the wrong one, the point goes to all the other participants. The game finishes when all the sentences be fulfilled with the appropriate preposition. And in the end the student with more points will be the winner.(by the way if you have such game in your country, what is its name, please?)
Body Game. Separate the class into two groups. Give to one of them preposition cards (answers of the sentences). A volunteer or teacher reads each sentence and this group has to show the answer with their body (e.g. show the preposition “WITH” using their hands,arms, legs...) to their opponents who have to guess it.
Cell Phone. The teacher passes by ear a sentence for the first student. He has to pass it on completing with the correct preposition. The second and following students have just to repeat what they just heard till the end, but they can change the preposition if they think it’s necessary. The last student stands up and writes the sentence on the board. Give one point for each correct answer.
Words in Order. Divided the class into two groups. Give to each one, the same set of sentences, but with the words out of order. They have to put the words in order and complete with the appropriate preposition. The group that finishes this task first, will be the winner.
“These games can also be used or adapted to (or for) any other grammar point.”
- Do we say "fast reading" or "quick reading"?; "Jump in" or "jump on" the correct side?
