Discuss the advantages and disadvantages for young people who decide to do this.

My wiriting:

Nowadays, we can see that in many countries, young people are encouraged to have a break after finishing their high school courses. In this case, the term “ a break “ has two main different meanings . To the rich student, they can travel. By contrast, the poorer student can take a part-time or a full-time job to be independent in the future.

This trend shows us that people recognize the crucial roles of general knowledge and experience. If young adult immediately took part in university, they would lack of them. But on a other hand, students who spend time to travel or work, they have a wider knowledge and view of life. They tend to be more confident and independent, which are crucial factors in the studies, research and presentation. That makes advantages for them not only in the academic studies but also in their real life.

Some persons say if young adult took a year off to do that things in this important age, they would continue the current job and lose their motivation and not able to adapt to the academic environment. This comment is perhaps right, but in these days, we can obviously see that all the modern occupations need the qualifications. I think you young adults could comprehend this and continue their studying.

In my opinions, student should spend a year to work or travel to widen their horizons. That is decisive to have preparation before moving to the next chapter of their life. One year versus all the rest time of life, this is not much, that is why young adults should take advantages of this precious time.
