Further to my earlier email, due to my continuing recovery from lung cancer and mental illness diagnosed in 2017 and 2018 respectively, I would like to reiterate my desperate desire to remain in my current post.
During the past months, I kept receiving intensive checking and treatment for the above two life-threatening illness and as I stated before the battle against these illnesses is always capricious and interminable and it is particularly not uncommon for a cancer patient with family history like me to encounter recurrence within several years after the medical treatments. Frankly, I am convinced I am no longer able to handle heavy office duties at this crucial moment.
Herewith the latest letter from my medical officer recommending me to stay in the current post and be exempted from transfer of work location for medical reasons. I hope you would kindly consider my request and provide an arrangement on compassionate ground.
