After graduating high school, students have to face dilemma of whether to do vocational training or go to university. On my way, I totally agree that people, young generation in particular, should continue to keep their academic study.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why students should go to university and try to earn a relevant degree. Firstly, nowadays, job market is becoming more and more competitive, and sometimes having thousands of candidates apply for a job position. As a result, it would be difficult for young people who do not have any qualification from university could be able to compete. Secondly, it is true that people with higher academic qualifications usually earn more money and stable income than others who have lower ones. For instance, following a survey of VietNamnet newspaper in 2013, the average salary of some jobs such as engineers or doctors is 10 million Viet Nam dong, while this figure is half with mutual workers such electricians and plumber. With two reason above, I can understand why parents should encourage their children continue their academic study.
On the other hand, people with higher academic qualification are extremely important for the development of society. To begin with, white-collar workers contribute and bring more value for society than blue-collar workers. For instance, mechanical engineers could create robot and enhance manufacturing system in order to increase productivity and decrease the price of product. Furthermore, high educated person can do and solve some global issues that normal person cannot. For instance, some doctoral students in HCM university found the way to dispel TTD spreading disease which help save the life of thousands victims in Asean or economic experts could help countries recovery the economy after they fell in economic crisis.
In conclusion, for many reasons above, it seems to me that students are more likely to be successful in their careers if they choose to keep their studies beyond school level.
