Letter Writing

Please help me! I have to write a motivation letter in just about 250 words but mine is too long. How can I summarize that into a shorter letter? I am going to take entrance exam in next two days so please help me

Dear Madam/ Sir,
Most of the received answers from people when being asked why choosingFinlandfor their professional study are among three reasons: no tuition fees, an excellent education system and high standard of facilities enjoyment. However, my primary reason is for my strong admiration to the Finish people. My first impression when found out aboutFinlandis the quietness. They might rarely talk but by some ways everyone can feel their friendliness, kindness and warm; perhaps, special ones use special way to reach other hearts. Not only that, Finish people are also reputed for their independence, liberties and talented. This is home to Nokia- the world largest manufacture of mobile phones, the first European country have both female President and Prime Minister and voted to be one of the world best education system. Studying abroad is not only just about building the professional foundation but also about building how great I will become. I thinkFinlandis not special itself; it is the people who create the magic to turn this country to a wonderful land. And I want to become that gifted person. That is the reason why I chooseFinland.

Being able to work in tourism industry is the dream that burns my mind when I was a little girl. I feel like all my love, passion, enthusiasm and thoughts have existed just for nourishing that wonderful dream. I love sightseeing, being addicted to breathtaking sceneries, deep down in everything about rich histories, diverse beautiful cultures and hidden charms. Actually, God give these gifts free to everybody but it seems that not everyone is aware of this. The presence of beauty exists everywhere, then I think that is my responsibility to introduce and transfer these gorgeous presents to everybody, to see what I see themselves. For me, tourism is the only way which can help me to live in my dream; moreover, to bring me closer to people who share the same enthusiasm as mine. I want to specialized myself in this field and the professional aspect of it.

Regarding myself, my greatest strength is that I am a good listener. I always spend time listening to other people as a way to build myself better. For me, listening is an art of training my patience, a great chance to get new experiences and win the respect of others. That is the reason why I have a very broad relationship. Moreover, thanks to being a good listener, it is easy for me to foresee what people think and want, thereby, know how to please, even raise interest and impress them. Interestingly, from what I have found out, in psychology, this ability is called behavior prediction. To achieve success in every profession, it is vital to clearly understand the need of customer; so people can design an appropriate product to meet the customer’s demand. Applying it into life, I had many times successfully organizing some trips for my classmates by choosing suitable places and activities based on their character. They are all beautiful memories. Along with two above strengths, I am also a quick learner. I can acquire new skills and capture new knowledge very fast. For examples, in Math, I can absorb lesson two times as fast as my friends. Therefore, I am always the first one who finishes the exercise in class. Maybe, I can not have many strong points as others but I think I will be a suitable person for both studying and working in tourism industry

As I have said above, tourism is my biggest dream and I want to specialize myself in this field. So after graduating, my plan is to continue studying master degree. However, I am going to take a gap year previously. In this year, I will have a job maybe as a tour guide or tour designer; the purpose is not only to apply what I have learned into reality but I also want to explore myself and gain more experience. Moreover, this is a chance I can devote myself with all my great effort working for Finland One more reason, from what I have known, in 2014, it is possible that non-EU/EEA student will have to pay tuition fees for some Master’s program. Therefore, taking a gap year for working will partially reduce the financial burden on tuition fees for my family.
